Our gimbaled wall sconce was inspired by lighting used aboard ships navigating the seas. While maintaining its maritime authenticity, our G-1 comes UL Listed, with a solid brass backplate that will attach & cover a standard junction box.

Our authentic nautical wall sconce was originally created to adjust as the vessel moved through the waves. We’ve preserved the gimbaled design and character, while making modification for use today. It’s a perfect addition to any marine inspired room. Our hurricane sconce comes with a candelabra base socket and an optional solid brass backplate that will cover & attach to a standard junction box. Our G-1 has been used as nautical bathroom sconces, fireplace sconces, traditional porch lighting and more. Installations include private residences in Kennebunkport, ME, Sagaponack, NY; at the Black Rock Yacht Club (Bridgeport, CT), NYYC and most recently at the US Navy’s Mess at the West Wing of the White House.

Material: Solid Brass Construction
Maintenance: When used by the ocean or in extreme weather conditions, our lights will patina and eventually verdigris over time. Since our lights are solid brass or bronze, they will not rust, corrode or disintegrate. All finishes are living finishes and will continue to patina as they age. We always recommend routine maintenance including a gentle soap & water solution or butcher wax if trying to slow the natural aging process.
