Our solid brass replica nautical sconce uses the cast of an authentic porthole in its construction. By following in the footsteps of its namesake, our porthole sconce provides an authentic maritime theme to any room. Whether it’s used as a wall or ceiling light, the R-4 comes UL listed and ready for a seamless installation. The unlacquered brass finish was recently featured in Coastal Living Magazine and installations included Greydon House (Nantucket, MA), the Hyannis Harbor Hotel (Hyannis, MA) and private residences in Coco Beach FL, Newport RI and Annapolis MD.

Maintenance: When used by the ocean or in extreme weather conditions, our lights will patina and eventually verdigris over time. Since our lights are solid brass or bronze, they will not rust, corrode or disintegrate. All finishes are living finishes and will continue to patina as they age. We always recommend routine maintenance including a gentle soap & water solution or butcher wax if trying to slow the natural aging process.
